LMBO!

Hi, everyone! I hope you all had a good weekend. Mines was so-so. I didn't do anything I planned to do and decided to chill instead. Blah! But it was a good weekend.

So, on Friday I went to see The Men Who Stare At Goats starring Ewan McGregor and George Clooney. Ha! On Netflix, the movie is currently put in genre: Screwball. And for good reason too! The movie is completely silly. There is no point to the story at all but to obviously make fun of the government and military. There is only one noticieable part where George (Lyn Cassidy) and an Arab man whose life he and McGregor saved apologized to eachother for the recklessness of eachother's people. Other than that the story is pretty silly. However, I still would recommend the movie if you are looking for a good hearted laugh. Many people are critcizing the movie as being stupid and pointless, but I could only assume that the movie is meant to be silly and funny and does well at both. I laughed out loud several times and the performances are good even though the characters are completely mad. I can always appreciate a movie that fulfills the purpose it set out to make. The movie is silly and makes you laugh without making you think too hard. That's not a bad thing especially with all of the movies and tv shows out there that are ridiculously silly but are not funny at all! Ugh! I hate movies/shows like that!

So, I have to say kudos to George and his buddy Grant Heslov for a pretty weird but pretty cool movie and give George a wow! for managing to be the dirtiest, craziest, sexiest old man in a movie. Go see it for a good worry free laugh. If you're a person who looks for meaning in every movie don't go see this one. You won't find it here!

Until next time,

Lew
